HOW MUCH TIME DO WE HAVE AT THE VENUE?
Elopements and micro weddings are scheduled by the hour, allowing couples to choose the amount of time that fits their ceremony, photographs and celebration. Full-wedding access begins Friday at noon and continues through Sunday at 10:00 a.m., giving couples time for setup, the wedding day and cleanup.
HOW MANY GUESTS CAN MOON VALLEY WEDDINGS ACCOMMODATE?
An elopement includes the couple and up to 10 guests. Elopement+ & Micro-weddings provides room for more than 10 guests. The Chapel in the Woods seats approximately 135 guests and can be arranged to accommodate more than 150 for a full wedding.
HOW MUCH DO ELOPEMENTS+ AND MICRO WEDDINGS COST?
Elopements start at $399. Elopement+ and micro-wedding celebrations typically range from $600 to $1,500, depending on the time, number of guests, settings and farm options selected.
HOW MUCH DOES A FULL WEDDING COST?
Full weddings start at $2,950. Most land between $3,700 to $4,200 after selecting the à la carte options that fit their celebration.
IS AN OFFICIANT INCLUDED?
Yes. An officiant is included with Moon Valley’s elopement and micro weddings experiences. Note availability is TBD depending on notice.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE FULL-WEDDING BASE PRICE?
The full-wedding base price includes use of the farm for the 3 days, haybale seating and tables for up to 100 guests, use of the silo bridal suite and luxury bathrooms. Additional details and optional experiences can be selected à la carte.
WHAT OPTIONAL EXPERIENCES ARE AVAILABLE?
Couples can personalize their celebration with options including hayrides, fire pits, horse interaction, yard games (cornhole, yard Jenga, croquet) a horse-trailer bar, a pickup-truck buffet cart and an antique-door photo booth.
CAN WE GET MARRIED IN THE CHAPEL IN THE WOODS?
Yes!! The Chapel in the Woods is our most requested location and is available for elopement+0, micro weddings and full weddings. It provides a private woodland ceremony area with the vibe of an old burned down church with front door, windows, pews and a lecturn.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ELOPEMENT, ELOPEMENT+ AND A MICRO WEDDING?
An elopement is designed for the couple and up to 10 guests. Elopement+ allows more than 10 guests, additional time for photographs and access to options such as the Silo Bridal Suite or Chapel in the Woods. A micro wedding adds more traditional wedding moments while remaining smaller, simpler and more affordable than a full wedding.
DO YOU OFFER PRESET PACKAGES?
Moon Valley does not require couples to choose from rigid packages as we have learned that flexibility is best and most couple want a unique experience. The most chosen package it the whole shebang given the affordability and farm vibe of all or options.
IS ALCOHOL PERMITTED?
Yes. Alcohol is not permitted with beer/wine often in our water troughs but if you want to serve alcohol from our horse trailer bar or your own, we require a bartender. Stafford county does require a banquet license for the day at cost of about $55.
DO WE NEED INSURANCE?
Yes. Most venues require it and it is always a good idea, particular
CAN WE USE OUR OWN VENDORS
Yes. We have a list of vendors that have serviced weddings here (Vendor tab) but we certainly allow for you to bring your own. All we ask is that they are licensed and insured. If not, ask, we can sometimes make exceptions in case grandma wants to cook. ;-)
